MKB Tactical and CSS combine technology and tactical expertise to deliver proactive security service form a centralised national service centre

MKB Tactical provides, high-end professional safety and security service deployed in designated, upmarket residential and commercial nodes within the Sandton precinct.  The company recently joined forces with CSS Tactical, a security company that utilizes innovative, state-of-the-art technology.  The two companies have merged their control rooms and task teams and have formed a single national operations centre.

CSS' sophisticated licence plate recognition software and their highly skilled technology division have enabled them to gain an excellent reputation for successful tactical deployment.  The company holds the CCTV camera contracts for the Sandton CBD, an area where crime has been significantly reduced over the past few years.  The company's ability to capture critical and material incident information in less than 1.8 seconds, allows CSS and MKB to ensure an unparalleled rapid and appropriate response.

The collaboration between MKB and CSS will ensure a technologically sophisticated and highly effective security blanket that will cover most of the greater Sandton northern suburbs areas. MKB's huge presence in Morningside and its surrounds stretches as far as far as Hurlingham and CSS' continued growth and success in the Athol, Dunkeld and Parks areas is now enhanced with the collaborative deployment of CSS proactive patrols in Hurlingham and Craighall and MKB's tactical presence in these areas.  It is anticipated that there will be a further displacement of crime, from the area as a whole as well as its individual components.

"It has always been our vision to grow either organically or by collaboration to successfully eradicate crime and we see this as a first in the private sector - a collaboration of a non-governmental nature," says Ricky Croock, Business Development Director of CSS.

The highly effective holistic security approach utilized by MKB is evidenced in its outstanding performance record in the Gallo Manor area where contact crimes have been reduced to zero for the period 1 November 2008 – 14 January 2009.  "The deployment of two highly trained dedicated tactical vehicles with high level support from MKB's strike team have successfully delivered on our undertakings in the Gallo area," says MKB's majority shareholders' representative Jonathan Killik. "With our deployment strategy, our high tech BMW's can be seen throughout the day and night in our designated areas.  This new initiative allows the convergence of information throughout the Sandton area to be managed and dispatched from one control hub.  Thus, criminals and suspicious vehicles traversing our areas can be handed from one tactical team to another for apprehension or to additionally deter them from our control zones."

With these strengths, their outstanding crime control success rates and the considerable synergy created by the MKB and CSS merger, the companies are effectively positioned to lead the way in proactive, rather than reactive, exceptional service delivery.
