The Old Mill, an operating family restaurant in Greyton in the Overberg area, will be auctioned by Pam Golding.

Pam Golding Properties“With Cape Town International Airport only an hour's travel away and easily accessible off the N2, picturesque Greyton is well known as a getaway destination among local, national and international tourists,” says Geoff Stroebel of Pam Golding Commercial.

“With its scenic countryside, set against a backdrop of the spectacular Riversonderend mountains and with numerous leisure attractions (including the annual Rose Fair in October), Greyton is renowned for its relaxing ambience,” says Stroebel.

The Old Mill restaurant is ideally located in the hub of the village.

“Being a family restaurant, offers delicious home baking including oven-baked pizzas. It has an established clientele and is well patronised by locals and visitors alike.

“This is a sound opportunity for an investor to acquire a successful concern, with audited figures available.

“In other words, it's a turnkey operation with staff members who would stay on, thereby ensuring that trading continues smoothly, which makes this an easy business decision.

“This prime property has excellent investment potential and the property can be expanded for accommodation or guesthouse purposes.”

The restaurant, situated on a 723m² erf, seats 36 people, and in addition to the dining room includes a well-equipped open-plan kitchen.

The property and contents of the restaurant will be auctioned together, and the liquor licence may be taken over for a nominal fee.

The property is being sold because the owner is moving back to Pretoria.

The sale takes place at the Pam Golding offices on 35 Main Road in Greyton at 11am on Saturday, October 11, through Pam Golding Commercial.
