WORK on the new warehouse facility of Jet Air Services on the corner of Koeberg and Long Claw Drive in Montague Gardens will soon be completed.
Main contractors Stocks Building (Western Cape) began the R2.6 million fast-track project at the end of September last year.
The project involves the refurbishment of the existing warehouse, as well as the construction of a new major section for the Air Freight Forwarding company.
Jet Air, which offers professional shipping and courier services, now requires larger premises. The contract was put out to tender last July.
Stocks Building, after recent fast-track projects that include the Hugo Lambrechts Auditorium in Parow, was named as preferred contractor, in conjunction with the Cape Town firm of architects Otten and Louw.
Jacques du Toit, managing director of Stocks Building (Western Cape), said he was pleased with the way the project was being handled.
'All new projects bring their own challenges and this one is no different.
This is another fast-track project, which we will look back on with pride.
The client and I are extremely pleased with the work to date,' said du Toit.
