Qualification(s)

  • Minimum Matric plus Seven years of current Centre / management experience
  • Shopping Centre Management certification would be an added advantage
  • Strong financial and budgeting knowledge is essential
Experience
  • Seven years relevant Centre Management experience essential
  • Appropriate people management experience is essential
  • Sound Marketing experience

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial strategies, formulate business plans, monitor and control income and expenditure according to business plan objectives
  • Formulate annual budget, calculate trading densities, ratio analysis, negotiate contractor’s fees and craft own Key Performance Indicators
  • Lease negotiations with tenants, prepare leasing proposals
  • Tenant retention and preparing leasing strategies in consultation with the senior portfolio manager
  • All functions related to debtor management including supervision of collection of rental and collection of arrear rental, negotiations regarding financial arrangements with tenants and liaison with attorneys when required
  • Responsible for the development of Marketing strategies in conjunction with Marketing professionals
  • Prepare management packs/ management reporting
  • Centre Management for the Mall.
  • Other responsibilities will involve but not be limited to the management of external contractors, appropriate relationship building with tenants, staff management and implementation of preventative maintenance plan
